As many of you have seen, read or experienced, Revit MEP 2011 includes some great new features and improvements. We'll be hitting on as many of these as possible during the next few weeks/months. Of all disciplines, I'm sure the Electrical folks are among the happiest with the new conduit/cable tray functionality, as well as the new and improved panel schedule workflow.
Included in the electrical improvements are the creation/customization of Demand Factors and Load Classifications. If you'd like to read a little more about this feature, feel free to check out this post.

The Load Sub-Classification Motor parameter will need to be mapped as a family parameter in the Parameter Properties dialog. This includes out-of-the-box content as well as user-created content. To update electrical families so that the parameter works as expected: click here for more
